How we got started

The idea of New Charter Technologies was born in February of 2018. Mitch Morgan, CEO of New Charter, set out to identify the financial investment partner that would align to the vision and propel the idea into a reality. In August, Oval Partners became the identified equity firm, establishing the transactional structure of the organization. Oval proved to be the perfect partner based on their experience in the market, in particular the unique Equity Partnership Model that Oval has perfected.

Four foundational partnership discussions were in motion, setting the stage for fast-growth years to follow.

PennComp, located in Houston, Texas, was the first company to come on-board in September of 2019. Scott Young, CEO of PennComp, and Mitch Morgan aligned greatly on vision and values, setting the standard for what the New Charter Partner Ecosystem represents.
