Why New Charter

CAREER GROWTH
Before making the decision to join the New Charter Equity Partnership, CommTech Owner and CEO Darryl d’Aquin was seeking a partnership opportunity that would allow his team to continue growing their careers. With a commitment to promoting from within, many members of the CommTech team had already taken on leadership roles at the organization and d’Aquin was interested in ensuring that there were continued opportunities for his team to learn and grow. By joining New Charter, and becoming part of a national organization, he can now be sure that CommTech employees have that opportunity within the organization.

“We can continue to grow this next level of leaders, from a director of operations, into a company president or regional manager or whatever that role or title might be,” said d’Aquin. “I wanted to continue to do that.”

d’Aquin also recognized the unique opportunity that the New Charter Equity Partnership would provide his team through access to partner company peer networks as well as the additional career opportunities that would become available through the New Charter Technologies family of brands.

“If there’s a need in one of our partner companies that one of our people can grow into, or maybe they do want to leave and move to Denver or Los Angeles where these other opportunities exist, and they stay within the family, and can grow, that’s ideal” said d’Aquin.

AN AMPLIFIED PEER NETWORK

d’Aquin has relied on peer groups to connect with IT leaders throughout his career so when he came across the New Charter Equity Partnership, he immediately recognized the value of having access to a large network of technology leaders. Through this unique Equity Partnership, business owners can continue to lead their individual organizations while joining the larger New Charter leadership team. Owners are collaborating and strategizing in a way that has never been seen in the industry.

“It’s an extension of peer groups, because now we’re really invested in each other and that’s exciting,” said d’Aquin of the network New Charter provides. He went on to say, “It’s exciting and has proven to be what we thought it could be.”

This high-level collaboration helps to accelerate business outcomes for organizations across the platform.

THE POWER OF THE PLATFORM

The ability to share technology resources, expertise, and talent is another unique benefit of the Equity Partnership Model that attracted d’Aquin to New Charter.

“My biggest concern and all of our biggest concern right now is cybersecurity,” said d’Aquin. “And now we have a dedicated national team that’s focusing on those high-level threats and understanding the best practices that we can leverage to protect our clients.”

As a part of New Charter Technologies, CommTech is now providing clients with an elevated level of IT services without any disruption to service delivery or client experience.

The transition for CommTech’s clients has been essentially nonexistent, “I’m still here and I’m still invested. But now we get more resources, and so we think that that’s positive and the beauty is that there have been not any big downward force changes that would have been shown to or seen by our clients,” said d’Aquin.
