How long have you been employed at New Charter Technologies?
It will be one year on July 25th (time flies when you’re having fun!)
Why did you join New Charter Technologies?
I was the Director of Human Resources for a client of one of New Charter’s partner companies. I did a little research once this partner company joined New Charter and discovered that I absolutely love the New Charter model. Here, the leaders of best-in-class MSPs can leverage the knowledge and scale opportunities that we have as a platform and continue to run the company they’ve worked so hard to build. I was hooked – New Charter was the place for me, I just needed to wait for a position in HR to open. Thankfully one did in July of 2022.
What is the most interesting or favorite part of your job?
One of my favorite parts of my job is finding ways to enhance the benefits we offer our team members. Modeling different plan design options and evaluating their impact is an exercise I truly love performing throughout the year.
What are some cool projects you’ve seen our operating companies do with the New Charter Technologies’ partnership? Or what is the best project you’ve been a part of since you started at New Charter?
It’s been exciting to introduce Regional Human Resources Business Partners to our organization. HRBPs can provide a more personalized model of service to the partner companies and team members they support. This will positively influence HR service engagement and intra- and inter-company communications.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Thoroughly explaining benefits to a team member and helping them understand how each coverage works. Benefits can be confusing; I love to demystify a confusing process and help a team member ensure they have the coverages in place to meet their needs.
When you think of New Charter Technologies culture, what 3 words come to mind?
Innovation. Collaboration. Support.
What are your hobbies outside of New Charter Technologies?
I love to travel! I also enjoy simple hangout time with family and friends – nothing fancy – just good food, good drinks, and good company.
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.
I have visited Disneyland over 100 times in my life…so far. We’re getting ready to move closer to California this fall, so that number might increase substantially in the near future.
