How long have you been employed at New Charter Technologies?

One year in May.

Why did you join New Charter Technologies?

I joined New Charter because the business itself intrigued me. I had never heard of this type of company structure, and I was attracted to the idea of being able to recruit for multiple companies, not just one. During the interview process, I learned a lot from Ashley Wright, Sarah Bernhardt and Mitch Morgan. I was in total awe of their candor and professionalism – I just knew I had to work for them.

What is the most interesting or favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of my job is working some with the more specialized roles, specifically in cybersecurity. I got into recruiting with the goal in mind to seek out more security roles, so I love that I get to do that as part of my responsibilities.

What are some cool projects you’ve seen our operating companies do with the New Charter Technologies’ partnership? Or what is the best project you’ve been a part of since you started at New Charter?

I am so grateful to be a part of the ‘security specialist’ initiative that New Charter has brought to all of our partner companies. It was so much fun helping all the companies identify internal talent for the role, as well as recruit externally for some of the others.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Job placement. There is no better feeling than being able to call the candidate you found and shepherded through the interview process, and then make them the offer for the role. It is a lot of fun watching them grow in the company, and checking in with them and hearing how happy they are in the job. It is even better when we meet them in person at our annual Kick-Off event.

When you think of New Charter Technologies culture, what 3 words come to mind?

Trust, Unity and Collaborative.

What are your hobbies outside of New Charter Technologies?

I’m a mom to a very active 4-year-old girl who keeps me very busy. We love to hike and enjoy the outdoors. We’re also a big Disney family, so we try to make it over to Disneyland a few times a year. I am also a big foodie and wine enthusiast, so I love trying new restaurant and wineries.

Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.

Pre-Covid, I was a flight attendant and have traveled to many countries, which is where I discovered my love of different cultures and food. Travel will always be a big part of my heart and I hope I can experience it with my little family.
